What to expect during your appointment at Jennifer's Spa

Since the mandatory statewide closure due to COVID-19, I want to assure you that I am taking the health and safety of my clients very seriously during each appointment. There are many new safety precautions and sanitation measures that I am implementing. Below is an overview of what you can expect when you return to Jennifer's Spa for your appointment. You are required to fill out and sign my online COVID-19 Consent Form before every appointment.

SICK POLICY:

  • I will not be accepting sick clients for any appointments.
  • If you or someone you are in close contact with is sick within 24 hours of your appointment, please cancel immediately by calling (302) 740-6363. I will help you reschedule your appointment for a later date.
  • You will need to call and reschedule your appointment if you are pending test results for COVID-19.
  • You will need to call and reschedule your appointment if you have been diagnosed sick or quarantined in the last 14 days with COVID-19.
  • You will need to call and reschedule your appointment if you have been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has flu or corona virus type symptoms.
  • You will need to call and reschedule your appointment if you live with anyone who is sick or quarantined in the last 14 days.
  • You will need to call and reschedule your appointment if you are currently presenting any of the following COVID-19 symptoms: Fever in the last 24 hours, Chills, Fatigue, Cough, Sore Throat, Difficulty Breathing, Shortness of Breath, Loss of Sense of Taste or Smell, Muscle Pain, Body Aches, Headache, Congestion, Runny Nose, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea

Before your appointment

  • You are required to fill out and sign my online COVID-19 Consent Form before every appointment.
  • You are required to wear a mask into the building and during your appointment, unless your services permit removal.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment and allow extra waiting time to check-in.
  • Please come to your appointment alone (no extra guests or children) for the time being.

When you arrive to the Spa

  • Please do not leave your vehicle and try to enter the building. The door will remain locked and you will need to wait in your vehicle. Rather than approaching the front door, please call me at (302) 740-6363 and leave a voicemail message to announce your arrival.  I will return your call when I can meet you and escort you into the building.
  • All clients and staff will be required to wear a mask.
  • Staff may also be wearing eye protection or a face shield for further safety precautions.
  • You may be asked by a staff member to have your temperature taken using a no-touch digital thermometer.
  • You are required to fill out and sign my online COVID-19 Consent Form before every appointment.
  • I ask that you read the COVID-19 Consent Form in advance and cancel your appointment if you develop any symptoms before your visit.
  • A staff member will escort you into the building when I am ready to see you.
  • Our reception area and beverage bar are currently closed to minimize traffic within the salon.
  • We will continue to practice social distancing of 6 feet in the spa (except between you and your Aesthetician during your service).

During your appointment

  • All clients and staff will be required to wear a mask while at the spa. However, some services may require removal of the clients face mask, which is permitted.  Your service provider will still be wearing their mask and possibly a face shield or goggles during those services while the clients mask is removed to further protect both of them.
  • You will be asked to wash and sanitize your hands before your appointment.
  • Staff are following strict sanitation and disinfecting procedures all day long. These procedures include but are not limited to frequent hand washing, disinfecting beds, chairs, stations, rooms and tools, disinfecting door handles and knobs, restrooms, and all high touch areas. Bed linens, Gowns, Capes, smocks and towels are one-time use only, per client.
  • I am asking that you keep your personal items to a minimum and may ask you to disinfect your phone (or any other items sitting out) with a wipe.
  • Hugging, handshaking and anything other than the required contact to provide your service should be avoided at this time.
  • I have always used hospital grade disinfectants approved by OSHA, EPA & the FDA.
  • I have completed COVID-19, Barbicide and Infection Prevention Training.  I have refreshed all of my certifications to help prevent infection.
  • All retail purchases can be made by calling (302) 740-6363 in advance and I can have your items ready before coming to the spa. I will have your retail purchase bagged and ready as you walk out. Retail items are only available for pickup during your advanced scheduled appointment, shipped directly to your home or by advanced scheduled curbside pickup.

If you have an underlying health condition we ask that you wait at least 14 days to return to the spa.  In addition, if you have been ill or around someone who has been ill, please wait 14 days to reschedule your appointment.  If you have any questions or concerns please call me at (302) 740-6363.
